TIGER WOODS: A HYPOCRITE IN ONE

What happened to the words shame and blame? Instead, they have been replaced by Liberals and the media as “it is not your fault…you have a condition.” When commentators, like Joy Behar conveyed that "Tiger Woods is not a hypocrite…” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9B8ARnlTNc We can only guess, that if they’ll let Behar offer her opinion, that they’ll let just about anyone host a show on CNN and THE VIEW.

NEWS FLASH. By taking marriage vows before God, his family, and his wife does make Tiger Woods a hypocrite. It is time to place blame where it belongs. Who cares how great his golf game is, if he is at the peak of his skills, or if he is chasing Jack Nicklaus’ record? The game of golf is more than 250 years old and is bigger than Woods and the products he endorses...and both will survive his iconic absence. Who cares about his lost endorsement money? Those brands should drop him. If they don’t stop sponsoring him, doesn’t that indicate more about their company’s leadership and values, than about Woods’ abilities? Who cares if he walks away from the game? Woods’ wife and children’s reputations are much bigger than the game of golf and it is about time the media get their head out of their backsides and place blame on Woods for his poor life choices. The media needs to quit trying to bring in “experts” to convince the public that Woods has a “possible sexual addiction.” Seriously, are you kidding me? Woods was so arrogant that he covered up his infidelity with in-depth plans to help juggle his concubines. That sounds more evil that one "with a condition." Woods has freewill and brought this personal tragedy upon himself. No matter how many women throw themselves at him, he had the choice to decline each offer and save his marriage. The women approaching him have no excuse either. Woods is a public figure, so asking a friend or doing a simple internet search would reveal his marital status. And once these women become aware he is married, if they still chose to date him, that demonstrates their own personal compass. It makes no difference if Woods was willing or these women were preying on his pattern of infidelity, they both were shameful, and it makes Woods a hypocrite.

Both Woods and the women he cheated on his wife with deserved to be publicly shunned. Why should we give him a second chance? Why should we purchase the products that endorsed him? Why should we forgive him? He is/was a role model and let his fans down. What evidence do we have that he is sorry? If he can cheat on his family after vowing before God, then he should be noted as nothing more than an “a once popular golfer.”

We need to stop this Liberal and politically correct mode of thinking that is okay to “pass the buck” (or in this case, pass the blame). Society functions best when everyone is accountable economically, socially, and morally.

Pollution, Climate Change, and Global Warming

Politics and science do not belong in the same sentence. And, for the same reason, politicians, like Al Gore should not champion causes with unproven scientific data. When a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit, it had revealed that over of a 1000 confirmed to be accurate e-mails illustrated that Global Warming was indeed a hoax (at least the research). Where we do not condone the method for retrieving this data (although it was requested legally and ultimately denied access to by the UK’s version of the Freedom of Information Act), these e-mails were validated by the same University of which they were stolen.

These e-mails have created a snowball effect that is unparalleled in human history. What this has really done is set science back. Science and mathematics are supposed to be empirical and trusted, and we learned in one day that we have been duped by a tight circle of scientists cooking the books on scientific facts related to Earth’s heating and cooling trends. This “revised data” was passed off as factual to other corrupt scientists, educators, politicians, and a certain select companies, i.e. General Electric with a profit driven agenda. We have been told for 15+ years that Global Warming is real. Think of the wasted money we could have allocated to other causes such as cancer research. Governments around the world have created policies combating Global Warming. There are National Holidays honoring our planet. Private companies were mandated to alter their production plans or face fines. There are textbooks from elementary school through college that has described its “causes” in great detail. President Obama has a “Green job agenda” called “Cap and Trade” that will demolish our economy via higher taxes because of the threat of “Global Warming.” There is even an upcoming International Treaty in Copenhagen that, if signed, will handcuff the production economies of the planet in an attempt to fight rising global temperatures related to Global Warming.

These corrupt scientists, educators, politicians, and certain companies with a profit driven agenda should be prosecuted for fraud on the grandest scale. These people belong in jail….not rewarded….and definitely not respected. Basically, we have to start over. We cannot trust any collected and reported data because nearly all of the findings so far have been derived from this corrupted control group. Even if these people had a benign agenda, their reported data is baseless without facts. Was Gore, for the last 15 years, acting in the best interest of the planet? Or, was he just in it to line his pocketbook because he has made over $100 million off his followers?

Followers of the environmental movement should be spitting nails for wasting their time. There is no dispute there is pollution in the world and we should make an effort to minimize it and leave the world a better place than the way we inherited it. It only takes common sense to figure this out. For instance, if you stick your head over an open camp fire and breathe in, the hot air and ash makes you gasp and cough. The same is true (minus the heat) if you live downwind of a coal plant with limited filtration that is releasing large amounts of coal dust. The people in nearby towns have a more difficulty time breathing than those that live in remote areas with little to no polluters, so we should strive for cleaner air, water, and soil for everyone's (and Nature's) greater good and health.

We can all agree to make the Earth cleaner. And cleaner means safer and healthier, but the method of imposing fines, rather than tax incentives, to make the industrial facility “greener” is foolish. What makes more sense, offering a company a tax incentive that benefits all parties (financially and health-wise) or a punishment through fines and/or potential jail time? All the latter does is put companies out of business, creating more unemployment, forcing companies to delay greener goodwill methods by filing one lawyer injunction after another to combat a bigger more intrusive Government. In the end, you have more pollution…not less, and, it is the community that ultimately gets hurt.

But thanks to corrupt and greedy scientists, politicians, educators, and certain companies, the Green agenda has received a black eye. We can measure pollution via common sense, collected air/water/soil samples, and related medical ailments, but the real data just isn’t there to evaluate true Climate Change or Global Warming.

Our advice is that is better to respect Nature by applying the Golden Rule to where you live, work, and play. By doing this, both nature and humanity will prosper and interact more harmoniously without needing to adjust scientific data to sell an agenda.

GLOBAL WARMING HOAX: GORE ON THE CORE

Have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ns_4pzfOSTc First, Al Gore claimed he invented the Internet? Then he claimed he won the 2000 Presidential Election. And now he is an expert climatologist and thermal geophysicist. This man is shameful the way he misleads his followers for his own personal profit. Former Vice President Gore, stated “the Earth’s core was several million degrees” on “The Tonight Show” with Conan O’Brien. He went on to elaborate that the energy in the core was an excellent source of heat to generate steam to provide green power to millions of homes. We are no expert, like Gore, but that high of a temperature should have burnt right through the mantle and crust. It should cause a non-stop eruption finding the path of least resistance to the surface, ultimately cooling the planet to one solid rock and destroying all life as we know it. The erupting substances would poison the air, thus killing almost all life on the planet and ruin every symbiotic ecosystem. Plus, a core that hot, once fully erupted, would alter the earth’s axis and poles. Not to mention, change the magnetic protection the citizens of the Earth require to deflect the harmful radiation emitted by the sun. We are sorry Mr. Gore…I don’t want the core to be several million degrees. We are ever so grateful that it is only 3000-5000 degrees Celsius.

Physically, several million degrees is not possible Mr. Gore. Wouldn’t this amount of heat cause additional global warming? This comment wasn’t an innocent mistake. It is too important for Gore not to correct. Mr. Gore, if you champion the environment, then learn the facts and start using them. Instead, you have regularly profited by spewing data that science is unable to confirm. And now, you showed how flippant you are towards the planet and how little you care about the people that follow your cause.

Where many people believe in Global Warming, the truth of the matter is that there is not enough empirical data over an extended period of time to confirm or deny it. We don’t know if mankind is destroying the Ozone. We don’t know if the temperature fluxes are man-caused or cyclical. We don’t even exactly know what the median sea levels and water temperatures should be because that type of study needs to compare ice age to ice age data (about 10000 years apart).

TFR takes the position of conserving the environment. Nature is beautiful and man needs it to prosper, supply energy, heal himself, feed/water himself, make clothes, domesticate animals, manufacture housing materials, etc. Who doesn’t want clean air and water! Who doesn’t want to leave the world a better place for their children than when they found it! Our position is not to abuse the environment and keep replenishing the plants and animals cost-effectively and compassionately. We just feel that one should choose to conserve and protect the environment, rather than be forced through hidden taxes proposed by Liberals like Al Gore. Or perhaps worse yet, to be tricked by the very same Liberals, advocating unproven science to propagandize their political agenda and profit off their followers.

PINK SLIP POLITICIANS

In a highly unusual Saturday session, Speaker Pelosi made history as the day was coming to a close on Saturday, November 7, 2009, with a nearly straight Democratic vote, the US House of Representatives passed a Healthcare Reform Bill by a tally of 220-215. No one is debating that healthcare reform needs to be addressed, but the way Pelosi got it done might be considered more notorious than genuine, cost-effective, or historic. The way Speaker Pelosi and President Obama had written, debated, and had the Bill voted on, may have just killed the Democratic Party for more than a generation.

In a nutshell, Pelosi just signed a pink slip for anyone running on the Democratic ticket for Federal office in 2010 and 2012. Sure, every Congress passes controversial partisan policies, but not like this one. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, the American public is overwhelmingly opposed to Government Run Healthcare by 58%-42%. The red flags were all there for Pelosi and Obama to see, but they ignored the will of THE PEOPLE that began with the Summer Tea Party protests and culminated with huge gubernatorial victories in New Jersey and Virginia for the Republican candidates. Both states Obama won in November 2008, but after heavy campaigning for the Democratic challengers running for Governor, the Democrats lost the Independent swing vote by nearly 20 points.

The entire healthcare bill deliberation process has been secretive, biased, rushed, and disorganized. Just a few days ago, Speaker Pelosi said the final draft would be available to the public to read for 3 days prior to the vote, but that ended up being a lie. President Obama said, the debate would be transparent and on C-Span http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-5b3e0rSX8 and that also ended up being a lie because this Bill was written behind closed doors between Obama’s and Speaker Pelosi’s staffs. Even Congressman Murtha said in the Tribune Review that the Healthcare Bill wouldn’t be voted on until 2010, so either fellow Democrats were clueless or this was a deceptive measure by Pelosi, Obama, and the Democrats in the House.

Even though Pelosi “allegedly” dropped healthcare coverage for those seeking abortions and illegal aliens, the Bill that passed, was still a bad Bill. This Bill was to come in under $900 Billion, but was really marked at $1.1 Trillion and that doesn’t include the additional Medicare provision of $250 billion. So clearly, neither Obama or Pelosi were concerned with making cost-effective decisions to decrease the National Debt. There also were no free market solutions in Pelosi’s Bill that the Republicans suggested to immediately drop the cost of healthcare insurance premiums, i.e. tort reform, health savings accounts, competition across state lines, preventative medical practices, buying groups for prescription drugs, make more funds available to schools to increase the number of doctors, nurses, and medical staff, etc.

The sad irony of this is THE PEOPLE that will get hurt the most by Obama's and Pelosi's Bill are the responsible, law abiding citizens and companies, that pay their bills and taxes on time. Under this President and Congress, what incentive do responsible citizens and companies have to continue doing the right thing? Obama and Pelosi’s Healthcare Bill is a punishment Bill because if you do the right thing, you are taxed. If you have or offer your employees great healthcare, you are taxed over the Government’s definition of the status quo. If you can’t afford coverage or don’t want coverage, the Government is forcing you to pay for it anyways via additional taxes. This Bill decreases competition, will ration services, create longer treatment lines, discourage professionals from pursuing medicine, and adds more red tape to the relationship between the doctor and patient. Plain and simple...this is a bad Bill.

Republicans did counter the Democrats' Bill with a proposal that was less expensive and less intrusive with free market solutions, but it was voted down by the Democrats (because they hold the majority). In the end, after mismanaging the Government with radical Leftist views, political favors to corrupt groups, i.e. ACORN, uncontrollable spending, tripling the national Debt, and remaining unaccountable to THE PEOPLE, maybe the Democrats painted themselves into a corner and felt they have nothing to lose by passing healthcare. But whatever their motive, they appeared to have shot themselves in the foot for 2010 and 2012. However, this will send a message to any politician, no matter their political party, that if they do not listen to THE PEOPLE, they, too, will get a pink slip.

The debate is not over yet. Pelosi's and Obama's healthcare bill must pass the Senate before it is signed into law.

OBAMA: HASAN'S TERROR ATTACK ON AMERICAN SOIL

Let’s be clear that Hasan’s rampage at Ft. Hood was a terror attack on American soil. And make no mistake this happened on President Obama’s watch, and was the first successful attack on our country since September 11, 2001. Maybe this perverse slaughter on unarmed victims will send Obama a message that there is GOOD and EVIL in the world and we can’t address it myopically via politically correct policies and pacifism. In truth, Obama’s weaker security methods may actually be enabling such madness.

This wasn’t supposed to happen…Obama apologized for “American Arrogance.” ...Obama is so well liked around the world that he won the Nobel Peace Prize after only 11 days in office for his world view. ...And, for the last 3 months, Obama is still evaluating General McCrystal’s request to send more troops to fight the insurgency in Afghanistan. However, Obama has had time to watch a Broadway show, play golf, campaign around the country for various Democratic candidates, and fly to Copenhagen to lobby for the 2016 Olympics on behalf of his hometown of Chicago. So how did this happen? Has Obama ignored the lessons of September 11th? What did he learn in November 1974 when hostages were taken at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran? Whether or not Hasan’s attack was orchestrated (or ever influenced) overseas in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, etc. remains to be determined by the FBI. However, like a majority of terrorist activity around the world over the last 60 years, the root of this violent terrorist philosophy is associated with the religion of Islam.

The prevailing question is, how is Obama going to respond to this attack because his military philosophy and beliefs have not protected our country? How is he going to deal with an attack carried out by a religion so close to his heart? Obama stated that he is Christian, but Reverend Right’s church is far from the pure preachings of Jesus Christ. Obama was influenced by his father, a practicing Muslim; that even enrolled him in a Muslim school as a child in Jakarta. Will Obama wake up to the reality that there are people in the world that we cannot reform via peaceful methods? Will Obama ever put 2 +2 together and realize that it is Islamic Extremism threatening the American way of life, and not Christianity? Will he grasp that we need to urgently hold these “Evil-doers” accountable by any means necessary? Will Obama show greater appreciation for the military? Will he start listening to his field commander, General McCrystal? Will he tell Holden, Speaker Pelosi, Congressman Murtha, Senator Reid, etc. to quit punishing and verbally bashing the people that protect America, i.e. military, CIA, NSA, etc.? Will he secure our borders or continue to hamstring people like Sheriff Arpaio for gathering up illegal aliens? Will he rethink about closing Gitmo? And will all the Left-Wing “nay-sayers” that vigorously opposed the Bush policy of proactively pursuing terrorists and their safe havens; will Obama and Congress grasp that Government appeasement doesn’t work?

Until Obama comprehends this immediate threat, his message of political correctness is sabotaging our ability to defend the United States domestically and abroad. This makes nations like the US sitting ducks to anyone with an Evil agenda. Whether Hasan was part of a terrorist cell or not, we need to learn from his premeditated killing spree that the purpose of terrorism is to do more than kill and cause fear…it also has a political function to plant the seed of Evil in weak-minded and amoral individuals, so it can continue to spread.

If we want to prevent incidents like Hasan's massacre, it is no longer acceptable for Moderate law abiding Muslims to sit on their hands and watch non-Muslims fight their religion’s internal war and the future of its message. And where an extremist wing of the Muslim faith may have hijacked the message of “peace” and “jihad,” Moderate Muslims should be walking side-by-side with the American soldier and domestic law enforcement agencies like the FBI to help eradicate the threat of radical Islam. We need to make it perfectly clear that Moderate Muslims are expected to get involved or the US will need to use overwhelming force to destroy our enemy. Where it is our military’s job to hunt down and kill terrorists and their supporting regimes, they need our country’s full support without the political correctness that continues to hand cuff their enforcement methods.

If Obama and our Congress do not rapidly learn from the present policy of political correctness, the Electorate must send a message of their own that YES WE CAN…VOTE BETTER in 2010 and 2012!

RECLAIMING THE REPUBLIC

We get asked all the time how to take back America. There is no quick fix because America has come along way from Declaring for our Independence in 1776 to being ruled by a Liberal Politically Correct Entertainment media. We should be outraged that more people voted in the America Idol Finals than in the past Presidential Election. It is scary more people know the songs on Guitar Hero than the words to our National Anthem, The Star Spangled Banner. This is not what the Founders intended for our country.

We would like to go one step beyond books, talk radio, television shows, Tea Party protests, or even Congresswoman Bachmann’s “House Call” march inside the Capitol Building. Where all those efforts are noble, informative, and draw passion, they are all third hand movements. If you want to know how to truly defend this great Republic, it will take 1st hand initiative and knowledge. And since we are living in the information age, we need an instant medium. It has to be both factual and visibly appealing because too many rumors are spread without checking the facts, so we ask you to use your PDA. Purchase a SD card and download speeches, campaign promises, clips from our BLOG and our Youtube Channel that pertain to officials caught in lies. Only then, when people see and hear their Representatives, will it keep the Electorate inspired enough to take back the Country from Radical Liberalism that is moving our Country towards Socialism. Tell your friends to do it too. Even if they are not politically active, buy them a SD card for Christmas or their birthday and put clips on it. Then the next time they hear a political argument, it will trigger a thought, cause them to check their PDA, and they will start to get involved.

The final step will be to keep your Representative accountable. Stop by their office and show them your PDA. When several of their constituents start doing the same, we’ll start to see Washington begin to fear the voter again.

THE PEOPLE are frustrated with the lies. We want real answers. We want real accountability. We were lied to on the necessary tax increases to pay for the Bill. Speaker Pelosi lied about the CIA briefings and wouldn’t address the media. Senator Reid lied and did his best to sabotage the successes in Iraq and General Petraeus’ leadership by declaring the war is winnable and challenging his field expertise.

DEMOCRATS: LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER IN 2010 & 2012

Despite the growing public discontent to the way Democrats are handling Healthcare Reform, Speaker Pelosi, Senator Reid and President Obama keep marching on. On October 26, 2009, in a Rasmussen poll, only 45% of the public support it, while 55% oppose it. Our country was promised transparency, but the whole deliberation has been secretive, biased, rushed, and disorganized.

The American Public must smell a rat… it seems like twice a day a different Bill is presented. Recently, Pelosi tried to change the name of the “Public Option” to a “Competitive Option.” [We guess she didn’t think we would notice]. Just last week, Senator Reid split the Bill to make it appear more cost-effective because President Obama did not want to see a Bill come in with an estimate over $1 Trillion because it scared the American people. [With Obama's excessive spending he has TRIPLED the NATIONAL DEBT over last year]. –So Senator Reid divided the Bill into 2 parts to give the illusion of saving money. One part addresses Medicare for $250 Billion and the latest House Plan is 1990 pages coming in around $900 Billion. [The last time we checked $250 Billion + $900 Billion =$1.15 Trillion]. Keep in mind, neither plan has been scored yet by the CBO, so more Amendments will be added, thus increasing the cost.

According to Rasmussen, only 33% believe Obama is taking the country in the right direction. --And the immediate irony of this is that Pelosi has a personal approval rating of 34% and Reid has one of 28%. Both Reid and Pelosi are in serious jeopardy of losing their seats in 2010 because of their lack of accountability to THE PEOPLE. No matter how much the American public reject major Healthcare reform, the more Pelosi and Reid are attempting to shove the Bill down our throats. [NOTE: As of now, Reid can’t even get the 60 votes necessary to take up the Healthcare debate in the Senate, so he plans on using a “nuclear option” to get around that. We guess he’ll do anything to pass unwanted Healthcare Reform…even if it means tearing up the Constitution.

No wonder why the public is against this Bill when are our Representatives are so deceptive. This is NOT what our FOUNDERS intended when they created a Republic with a limited Government.

COMPASSION: Conservative vs. Liberal

Compassion is supposed to be altruistic? It is to be voluntary. It is to be genuine. Let’s take up the debate of the poor, taxation, and the right to healthcare. It is often perceived that Liberals represent the poor, but all evidence points to the contrary. Well, let’s look at the following. Arthur C. Brooks, a professor at Syracuse University, published "Who Really Cares: The Surprising Truth About Compassionate Conservatism. After studying that “although liberal families' incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227).”

Why has the Liberal chosen to give less, but vote to force the Conservative to be taxed more to support healthcare (and their other social programs)? Why do Liberals frame Conservatives as “the rich,” when we know that is a false statement? Maybe the argument should be, the IRS let’s an individual over- pay on their taxes, why not voluntarily give when no one’s looking? Why not have a voluntary section on our tax form to set aside a given account just for the uninsured? Why not have a National Referendum on healthcare? Why does the Liberal want to force others through the threat of imprisonment to pay higher taxes, when they, themselves, don’t voluntarily give as much?

Maybe Liberals are not as genuine or altruistic as they want the public to think they are. Maybe the argument is more about POWER than the gift of compassion!

TFR ENDORSES DOUG HOFFMAN

The Founding Revival endorses Independent candidate, Doug Hoffman, in New York’s 23rd Congressional Race over Democrat Bill Owens and Republican Dede Scozzafava.

Where many of the staff at the TFR likes Mr. Hoffman’s Conservative politics, TFR’s consensus endorsement is derived from Hoffman’s genuine and straight forward ideals. It makes one wonder when Candidate Owens, a Democrat, sits to the RIGHT of the Republican candidate, Scozzafava.

Many, many, moons ago, as a Freshman in college, I was mentored by a Senior that has gone on to become one of the most well respected economists in the world. He had given me advice that I had taken with me and expanded upon in both my personal and professional life. Amongst his advice was…

Well, when you run across an organization that thinks like you, then you have the option to join it. But, know coming in, don’t change your ideals for them. And if they change, you can leave without regret. Well, in Mr. Hoffman’s case, he found himself to be Conservative, but the Republican Party (until recently had the perception of being Conservative) did not accept him and supported the Republican that had Liberal views. So in Mr. Hoffman’s case, he chose to be his own man and not sacrifice his beliefs to fit into a Republican party that was more interested in a name than his conservative beliefs.

You see, Mr. Hoffman has strong convictions and is running for Congress because he knows who he is, what he believes in, where he came from, and who he wants to represent.

Simply, Mr. Hoffman gives new meaning “to vote for the man…and not the Party.”

WAS ACORN REALLY DEFUNDED?

This is why the American public has come to mistrust politicians and why the popularity of President Obama and this Congress is falling like a rock. When THE PEOPLE find out that ACORN was really only defunded for 31 days (October 1-31), there should be a political coup in November 2010. This is the same ACORN that Obama represented. --The same ACORN being sued in multiple States for voter fraud. --And yes, the very same ACORN found on tape aiding criminal activities such as prostitution, underage sex, illegal immigration, tax fraud, etc.

What really happened? The American public thought justice was bestowed October 1 when both Houses of Congress defunded ACORN, instead, justice resembled more of a "timeout" than a permanent financial penalty. According to Byron York, at the Washington Examiner, “what they (Congress) actually did was bar lawmakers and federal agencies from giving any money to the community organizing group for the duration of the temporary budget agreement, or continuing resolution, that was in effect at the time. Continuing resolutions are used to extend federal spending, and keep the government running, when Congress can't agree on appropriations bills for the fiscal year. When the congressional defunding of ACORN went into effect on October 1, there was a continuing resolution in place that would last until October 31.”

So will Congress continue to deny ACORN of Federal funds? We, at TFR, can’t imagine this ban will be renewed any longer than a few more months (when Congress feels the public will forget about ACORN's misappropriate behavior). ACORN almost exclusively works for the Democratic Party. [NOTE: It is illegal to take Federal funds and proactively work to elect officials, but ACORN does it anyway]. And Congress and Obama will need all the support they can gather in 2010 due to how un-popular Obama’s polices are.

Now we wonder why there is so much voter apathy when injustices like this keep happening.

OBAMA: PROMISES TRANSPARENCY FOR HEALTHCARE REFORM ON TV

Mr. President, what happened? Why are you breaking YOUR promises? Don’t WE THE PEOPLE deserve better? Don’t WE, THE ELECTORATE, deserve a say? You promised during the campaign that the debate over healthcare would be transparent. In a recent Rasmussen poll, the primary reasons THE PEOPLE are against the Baucus Healthcare Bill by a 56%-44% margin is because the whole deliberation has been secretive, biased, rushed, and disorganized when we were promised the exact opposite? Why can’t WE read the Bill before it is signed into law? Why should WE ever trust you and this Congress if WE are not included? If WE were promised a bipartisan BILL that would be fiscally accountable, why are so many issues that impact the bottom line being ignored by Congress for political reasons, i.e. tort reform, competing insurance plans across state lines, preventative medicine, etc.? WE thought healthcare reform was a national concern…and more than just a gathering of Liberals and their special interest groups! President Obama, instead of special interest groups and Congress just introducing slanted legislation, why have you not also come to the table with a Bill of your own when you championed the cause on the campaign trail? When are you going to start keeping your campaign promises like including THE PEOPLE in the healthcare debate? OBAMA: INFLATING MONEY…DEFLATING SENIORS’ BANK ACCOUNTS

If being President doesn’t workout for Barrack Obama, surely he could pick up a job as an illusionist because he is so good at making things disappear. From Obama’s Election last November, the US has lost approximately 3,600,000 jobs (and we will lose even more if Obamacare and Cap and Trade passes). The value of the dollar has decreased by 10%, tax revenue is down, military and CIA funding has been cut, and Gitmo is in the process of closing. Obama even intends to cut Medicare by $500 Billion in order to fund his healthcare plan.

However, instead of the yearly cost of living adjustments (pegged to inflation), for Social Security recipients, the most recent slight of hand by President Obama will be to offer senior citizens on Social Security $250 in-time for the 2010 mid-term Congressional Elections (otherwise the Democrats will lose a record number of seats). This is politically crafty because Obama’s poll numbers are falling with Senior Citizens due to their opposition to his proposed Healthcare Reform Plan. But, it is Obama’s reckless agenda, TRIPLING the National Debt over last year, and printing money that will be the cause of inflation. Although, if Obama continues to advise the Federal Reserve to print money at this pace, $250 won’t be nearly enough to adjust for Obama’s costly policies and coming inflation for senior citizens in financial need.

But, to be fair to President Obama, some things have gone up, i.e. Irresponsible Government spending, taxes, the National Debt, unemployment, foreclosures, terrorists’ “Rights,” energy costs, Part D of Medicare, unjustified bailouts to undeserving car companies and banks, number of tested nuclear weapons in North Korea, etc.

Glenn Beck on Obamacare: A 2nd Opinion

On Friday, October 16, 2009, The Glenn Beck Television Show brought together a town hall of doctors to discuss the Baucus Healthcare Bill. There were doctors of varying ages, genders, fields of practice, etc., and included in the audience, were medical students and physicians that have practiced outside of the US.

The overall concerns were:

1. The Baucus Bill would stress the relationship even further between the patient and physician due to the added red tape from more bureaucrats.

2. Why was Tort Reform not addressed? It was agreed that is a key component in controlling overall healthcare costs, then why did the Baucus Bill not tackle such an important matter?

3. There needs to be more patient/doctor control, i.e. health savings accounts. It seemed unanimous that the doctors would like to go back in time to where 3rd party payments had less control. i.e. A system where an insurance company might pay 80% of the costs, but the patient would be responsible for the rest. This way the patient would choose to be more hands-on in his/her own medical care and finances.

4. The medical students were more optimistic than the experienced physicians that a Government Plan would work.

5. A physician, originally from Poland, that had his residency in Poland, experienced first hand Government run medical care. He was 100% against going down that road and that our present system is less bureaucratic and more humane because Government run care places too many financial restrictions on care/medication that contributes to higher fatalities.

6. Glenn Beck made an interesting observation: Why are no attorneys speaking out against the Baucus Bill?

If the American public is against a Government Run Healthcare Plan in a recent Rasmussen poll by 56%-44%, and specifically, those that are impacted the most, senior citizens, dislike the idea because 62% feel that it would cost the taxpayer too much money, then why are Representatives shoving this down our throats? And if a majority of doctors are against more Government involvement into medicine, why is Congress doing this? Why has the most important element, the doctor-patient relationship, been excluded from this conversation in formulating a Government run Healthcare Plan? So why are we barely hearing from insurance companies? Why hasn’t the American Bar Association commented? Who benefits from this Bill if the ideal goal was to cover 100% of Americans, and this Bill only covers 1/3 of the uninsured? If we are not covering 2/3 of the uninsured, why does this Bill cost so much? If the Bill is so flawed, why are we rushing to pass it?

The show was only an hour long, but we, at The Founding Revival, would like to add to help control costs: We know technology and the advancement of medicine will drive costs up, but competition is also a major factor in keeping costs in check. If the Government is going to get involved, it needs to provide a long-term investment in expanding medical and nursing schools. There needs to be more training for medical staff and first responders like EMTs. Simply, the more qualified manpower, the lower the end costs for the patient/consumer because it will automatically force medical practices to compete against one another financially.

The Government could also make additional grants/funds available to ethically research deadly diseases like cancer and heart disease because those treatments are so expensive. As Benjamin Franklin said, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” The Government could also support preventative medicine/counseling to control diseases like diabetes. Because, if they go left untreated without better nutrition, personal training, exercising, etc., will cause future and even more expensive health complications. Patients/States should also have more negotiating power in purchasing medicines. And lastly, convince the producers of modern and expensive medical testing equipment, i.e. MRIs to make their products more available, because until now, they are primarily more available at wealthy and exclusive practices.

All of the above will help lower costs, improve care, involve the patient more, and save lives. So if you are a concerned doctor or patient, we would like to hear from you. Help bring a voice to this debate.

SENATOR REID: NOT SERIOUS ABOUT REFORMING HEALTHCARE COSTS

If you ever wondered how genuine our Congressional leaders’ intentions are in reforming healthcare, look no further than Senator Harry Reid of Nevada. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fT3_1rPkjRI This proves the Baucus Healthcare Reform Bill is more about politics than our country’s well being. On Thursday, October 15, 2009, on the Senate floor, Reid denounced Tort Reform because it would only save $54 Billion out of roughly $2 Trillion.

This is like when you are driving and the RED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT starts flashing. You know to pull over, otherwise more damage is about to happen if you do not address the problem. Well, if we don’t stop Congress and President Obama from politicizing healthcare…the American People will all be the Losers.

First, we really can’t afford to do a healthcare reform bill. Obama has already TRIPLED our National Debt to $1.42 TRILLION (over last year) with an unsuccessful Stimulus Plan and the bailouts of undeserving bank and car companies, so why trust them with even more tax payer dollars when overwhelmingly the American public is against a healthcare reform Bill by a recent Rasmussen poll of 56%-44%? However, if we do a Healthcare Bill, wouldn’t we want it to be as cost-effective as possible?

Second, I thought the Health Reform Baucus Bill was only going to cost $829 Billion. When one flippantly goes from $829 Billion to $2 Trillion…it makes you think that the public is not being told the whole story and that Senator Reid is out of touch with reality.

Lastly, this should bother all of us. Reid (and we can only assume the same from the other Senators that voted for the Baucus Bill) clearly doesn’t Represent mainstream America when he doesn’t feel $54 Billion is a lot of money. Really? Isn’t that roughly what Bill Gates’ net worth is? That is enough money to feed and vaccinate many 3rd world countries for a decade. It is more money than the yearly GDP of both Vermont and North Dakota combined. And to be exact…if the Bill ends up costing $2 Trillion (when it was supposed to cost $829 billion) and we could save $54 billion; that would be approximately a 3.7% savings. And every little bit counts when combating a growing National Debt.

The Electorate should DEMAND Congress and the President start over and make this process transparent. We are obviously being misled. They clearly don’t have our best interest at heart because they are not willing to explore every avenue to save the tax payer money! Should any Bill be signed without TORT REFORM and the $54 Billion savings mentioned by Senator Reid, himself, would mean those that vote for it, should be voted out of office when their term expires.

WILL CONGRESS TAX THEIR OWN INSURANCE?

Do you know the best litmus test as to determine whether or not Congress and the President have your best interests at heart when it comes to healthcare reform? The answer is simple…Congress intends to help pay for their proposed Healthcare Reform Bill by taxing private healthcare “Cadillac Plans” upwards of 40%. So if you have a healthcare plan that exceeds Government standards, you will be taxed on the “additional benefits” you are receiving now and those tax revenues will be redistributed into the Government plan.

We have already answered the question of irony because Congress refused to drop their existing coverage for the Government Plan in their bill they are proposing, but the moral question is will Congress and the President tax their own benefits? They have the best insurance money can buy, so will they tax their own “Cadillac Plan,” allow an exception in the tax code/healthcare plan for themselves, or increase their salaries to compensate for their taxed healthcare benefits?

If Congress and the President sign into law a Bill that exempts their benefit package from the tax code or adjust their salaries to compensate for the additional taxes they would be facing, this clearly illustrates that our Representatives are out of touch and need voted out of office when their term is up. This action is far beyond irony…it is malicious!

Don’t Indoctrinate OUR Children

This doesn’t happen in America. The United States was FOUNDED, so it could freely worship God, not men. On September 18, 2009, Beyonce Knowles was in Australia performing and surprised Chelsea Lee James by bringing her on stage. Beyone dedicated her song, “Halo” to her and even changed the words to incorporate Chelsea’s name. The audience was in awe and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. In a day where we witnessed many classless acts like Kanye West disrespecting Taylor Swift at the VMAs, we applaud Ms. Knowles because this is exactly what every celebrity should be doing. There is an old saying that God gives everyone a gift, but what you do with it is your tribute to Him. …And Beyonce definitely embodies an angelic voice helping others.

Well, one of the inspirations for one of our bumper stickers comes from a woman suffering from breast cancer. She was so fearful that her insurance & treatment might change if Obama passes Universal Healthcare, that she wanted to get involved and asked us to change the wording on the sticker. HEALTHCARE: THE BIG FIX

We can fix the rising costs of healthcare, but why won’t our Representatives in Congress and our President listen to reason? Why are pundits from both the LEFT and RIGHT offering broad solutions without detail? THE LEFT tells you that a public option is necessary to provide competition against private insurers, while THE RIGHT’s main points are that they would like the states to open up competition across state lines and place a cap on legal settlements.

Well, we know you simply cannot just throw money at a problem and HOPE for the best. It has not worked with the public school system because National test scores have not increased proportionately with the world, so don’t expect it to work with healthcare.

So what can we do? Well, let’s go back to Economics 101 and review Supply and Demand. Simply, the greater the Supply, the lower the end price for the consumer (patient). We know that an aging population of “Baby Boomers” will put a greater strain (HIGHER DEMAND) on our current medical system. The increased number of patients will widen the gap between needed medical professionals to walk-in patients, thus keeping prices high (or increasing). There is no quick fix to solving growing healthcare costs, but if we act now we could implement programs to help manage costs by providing incentives for more qualified doctors, nurses, EMTs, medical staff, and monitoring equipment. If you add more manpower, the extra competition will drive prices downward, so if the Government is to get involved they should provide incentives to expand medical schools, nursing programs, emergency response units, and medical staff training. Another way to lower healthcare costs is for companies, i.e. General Electric (a large Liberal company) that manufactures expensive medical equipment to make their equipment more readily available to lesser profitable and/or poorer medical facilities. Right now, they keep their equipment fairly exclusive for only wealthy practices. And as a company that is advocating Universal Healthcare (lower health insurance premiums), their approach is a bit hypocritical because they seem more concerned with their bottom line than keeping medical costs in-check.

These two factors will greatly lower medical expenses and enable more people to be treated cost-effectively.
