When is it okay for a man (that just so happens to be a director) to drug a 13 year old and rape her? Ignore whether or not she was old enough to consent, how about that he got her drunk and gave her Quaaludes to knock her out before having sex with her? Then he sodomized her while she was unconscious! That is the meaning of rape plain and simple.Hollywood is up in arms that the Justice Department dares prosecute him. Whoopi Goldberg said “it was not rape-rape!” Really? I wouldn’t let Polanski anywhere near my children. Please review the list of his Hollywood supporters on the link above. It is time for the American Public to boycott any film containing these names. As a consumer, vote with your pocketbook and put Hollywood out of business if they don’t abide by mainstream American morals.
Besides jail time, maybe this should be an “Eye for an Eye” crime. Or maybe Polanski can do a reflective documentary film on "consent" where his fellow supporters at Cannes and Sundance will appreciate “his research.” Let’s give “Bubba,” his future cellmate, some Viagra after Polanski takes Quaaludes and drinks alcohol. Only then can Polanski truly tell us all about what the word consent means!
